Shella slumbered through contagion, spooned against the memory of her brother. Her immunity? Coma. The spores only fed on active consciousness. Bomb shelters were ready and readied; nations worked together to irradiate the surface. Computers froze humanity, and the world slumbered; spooned against the earth's core, waiting for rebirth.
