Something that has always tripped me up is the "best" order to convey information. Unfortunately, different people want different orders... I usually attempt to go by context as best as possible, but...
I think it boils down to the fact that I don't want to be misinterpreted. Not understood is allright, there're less emotional triggers to be fixed by nonsense than by a misunderstanding. Making people wait for the meat of the information is to me preferable than serving the meat without the spices -- which invariably change the meal.
Unfortunately, this "waiting for the meat" can annoy people to such extremes that they don't take well to the information regardless of what it is. I don't know how to deal with this.
At the extreme, I prefer to give the entire context that a person would be missing before filling in the information that caused me to start the stream of information that I was conveying. I think it's an extreme I hit fairly often. :sigh:
